07 Sep Intrusion and Assault in Arizona
Intrusion into someone’s home or property is a serious criminal offense, and it gets worse when you combine that with assault with a weapon. Recent Case
Recently a crime was committed in Pinal County that brings two levels of charges into the mix. Sunday night, September 10th, 2017, a man broke into an individual’s home in San Manuel, Arizona. The likely reason was for a burglary, but the motivation is still unclear. As the man broke into the home using a screwdriver, the owner of the home woke up and went to investigate the noises he heard. Upon the owner finding him in the kitchen, the intruder attacked the homeowner with the screwdriver and then ran off. The intruder, who has a shaved head, tattoos on his neck and arms, will have the following violations:
- When he gets caught by the Pinal County Sheriff, the man will be charged with a felony for breaking and entering.
- Another charge will be added which would be a misdemeanor or possible felony for coming at the homeowner with a screwdriver which could be considered a deadly weapon.

Whether the intent of the intruder was to steal from the homeowner, or to harm the homeowner, the charges are straightforward with jail time being involved upon sentencing of guilt.
