Jayme Lehman was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in sciences. Following graduation, Jayme was employed by the Scottsdale City Court for more than five years, and her experience there led her to apply to and attend law school. Jayme spent approximately half of her employment in Scottsdale working as a courtroom clerk where she observed numerous court hearings, from jury trials and evidentiary hearings to probation violation matters and juvenile delinquency proceedings. Her years there solidified her desire to enter the legal profession so that she could help those people in the criminal justice system in a more impactful way.
Jayme obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, graduating cum laude. While there, Jayme was an Executive Editor of the Dispute Resolution Law Journal, and her article “One Quest for Eleven Distinct Wine Regions: How Implementing Mediation Would Benefit the AVA Creation Process” was selected for publication.
Jayme has worked as a criminal defense attorney for the entirety of her career and has extensive experience in vehicular matters. She has worked primarily in private practice, which has allowed her to focus her time and efforts on her client’s cases and understanding their individual circumstances. Her background in languages and sciences helps her carefully examine and explain the unique challenges present in each case, such as reviewing scientific research pertaining to a client’s medical condition or addressing legal instructions given in a foreign language.
In her downtime, Jayme enjoys hiking in the mountains around the Valley, baking, music, and spending time with her family and friends.
